We expanded our chicken coop, but the new coop has no top on it like our old one did, so we had to clip our chickens wings so they couldn't get out.
We had never done this before, so we did some quick research online and found it was really quit simple.
You just have to make sure you only clip the feathers on ONE side. The point is to make bird uneven for flying, like a plane with only one wing.
Now the ladies can enjoy their new enlarged coop.
We didn't clip Hank and Bonnies wings, they are happy as long as they have their pond.
I remember as a kid being at Kimber Farms where my Dad worked & when they did something to their beaks, it stunk REALLY bad! Don't recall ever seeing this procedure before tho. Thanks for the lesson! ♥
